Janeway Ride, June 6, 2010 |
|
This is an open event, all riders Welcome!
It's that time of year when everyone across the province digs deep for the
Janeway telethon.
I'd like to see as many bikers out as possible to support the Janeway. I'm
thinking a nominal donation of AT LEAST $20 (but any donation of any size will make a difference), will make for a good sized
donation to the Janeway Foundation.
We now have the ride details:
Sunday, June 6, 2010
- 11:30am meet at Signal Hill
- 12:30pm leave for ride
- We'll leave Signal Hill, head through downtown, out through Kilbride, Goulds, and down the shore to Witless Bay Line, accross to the TCH, down the Holyrood Access Road, and back through CBS. We'll probably stop at Foodland in Bay Bulls, the Irving in Holyrood, and Paradise Tim Hortons before heading to the Janeway (this schedule may change on the fly, depending on how time goes, route may be altered on the fly too).
- 4:30pm (or earlier) arrive at Janeway
- 5:00pm they will tape the presentation
Security will be roping off the first row of Parking Lot 9C – across the street from the Janeway for the motorcycle presentations.
Andy Newman from Coast 101.1 will be the host.
The presentation will then air at approximately 6:00 pm.
The nursing stations have been notified that Avalon Motorsports will be
there on the bikes, and they know that any children that are well enough to
come outside can come out and talk to the bikers, and see the bikes up
close! However, usually any children that are well enough to come out and see the bikes would normally be sent home for the Telethon Weekend.
Sincerely,
Darrell Young
