I completed the basic rider's course October 17 2010 with Avalaon Motorsports. It was fantastic.The instructor, who is also the owner, Darrell Young, was very informative and organized. The in class session was an introduction to the practical and safety concerns about owning and driving a motorcycle. The on bike session was a blast as I progressed through each step.Darrell was very patient with all of us...........even when I took the bike without his instruction to start-up and drive.Ha! Darrell is very knowledgeable and he encouraged lots of questions and discusion.Great job Darrell!

My son has been after me for quite a while to take this course. He has been riding for years and thought that I, at 55, could benefit from being a biker. I had never started a bike, let alone ride one. Darrell, your course gave me the confidence to believe I could ride and the course gave me the skills to start that process. I have now purchased a new Honda VTX1300C as my starter bike and have been on it almost daily since passing my road test and getting my license. Only a bit over 1600 kms so far but enjoyed every one of them. Thanks for the training. It was well done and I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in learning to ride.

I recently completed the basic rider course and I'm certainly glad that I did. I now feel I have the confidence to get on the road. The balance skills and evasive manoeuvres that I learned will be valuable on both city streets and highways. I would highly recommend this course for someone who's never ridden before or if you've got a little experience but feel you could improve your skills.

Took your basic course. The information I received on the course was instrumental in helping me pass my written test on the first attempt. Darrell and instructors were very helpful and very patient. They were very informed about all aspects of the motorcycle. The course was a lot of fun. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone who is serious about getting their motorcycle licence.

I would recomend this course to anyone who is thinking of riding a bike. It was a fun event and a big learning experince for me. I would like to thank Darrell and Tom for their support and skills.
